4 year hiatus

Wow, in 4 years I could have repeated undergrad. Luckily, that won't be happening. So, here's the major update since undergrad. I graduated with a B+ in every one of my classes, except one, where I received an A. Not bad for 21 credits. Not to forget I was working part time as well.

So you are probably asking where has this undergrad degree gotten me? Well the company that I worked part time for asked me to continue another semester part time, which I did. Upon graduation, I took a 1 month break, which almost made my dad had a heart attack since he was furious about me not starting the second after I graduated, no joke. Anyhow, I decided to go work full time for the same company I worked part time for. During the 1 month after graduation I was applying to different companies in a NYC to get more experience, but I guess the pressure of my parents got to me and I caved in to work with the same company. Some times I look back and wish I didn't stay with the company for 4 years, 2 would have been sufficient, but then again i'm not the one to decide how lousy the job market has been. I worked with x company for 4 years in city x. Boy was living in city x an experience! I came from a small private undergrad, small 98% white populated town (me being non-white), so living in city x was like wow. I wasn't sure if I could handle living in a city period. The experience was every bit worth it. I lived in the best area of the city with constant access to transportation, restaurants, the night life, and to the relief of my parents being able to sleep every night, it was a safe area.

So you ask where am I now? I moved from city x back to home 3 months ago. I am still young and I knew from the beginning I didn't want to be working for the same company my entire life. It's important to make changes while your young so you can adjust and learn and get well aquainted with different companies and people. During my last year at work i had feveously began studying for certifications and pre-grad exams. My work load also picked up as one of my team members was let go. I literally was joked on at work for leaving work at 1am when every one else would leave at 5pm to attend their child's baseball/soccer game. This company strived on family life and it literally was 9-5. I am ambitious and hungry and young, this wasn't going to work for me. Maybe later when I'm 44 but not at 24. So I finally decided in April to give the news to my supervisors about me leaving to study full time for this big exam, as I only wanted to take it once, get a good score, and apply for graduate school. So here I am, 1 week before my exam date. Coincedently, I found my old blog during the time where I will be starting college life again. Which means more of you, if there is anyone out there reading this, that will be thrilled to read my blogs. I will leave you glued to your desks, begging me for more. Oh I assure you that I will have every American, non-American young 20's person eager and curious to hear about the life of a college student........yea right! Definitely being sarcastic there.

Anywho, back to studying. Just saw 'Coco Avant/Before Chanel' and just got inspired! WOMEN EMPOWERMENT! If I get a good score, I'll probably post a blog entry soon...if not, maybe a month.

Vital Virus

Ok good morning!! :) I still need to study for my exam 2 which is in approximately 14 hrs....and i need to get up in about 6 hrs...

I just remembered this piece of news that I thought was 'vital' in sharing with you all. So there's this norovirus thats going on and I didnt realize how bad it had gotten until our university's provost posted a special report regarding the dangers of it. 203 of our faculty and students have been infected with the virus. Rumors are flieing around campus that one of the 'cooks' didnt really clean their hands and thus it spread from the cafe food...I would believe that.

It's affected mainly those in dorms. I was in the comp lab just today and i noticed hand sanitizers in each lab. Students just need to be more careful where they go and what they eat...their just so careless, and the minute they have to go in the hospital their acting serious.

Pre-Spring Break

Ok so its 12:53am and I am being hit by the consequences of me choosing to take 21 credits this semester. So last week I came late to class and my professor told me to come next week to re-take the test, claiming it would take over an hour. So I come today to class and he totally forgets he told me that and he's just sitting there asking me, "are you in this class?". LOL. So after discussing with him about his memory loss...lol not really...he moves my test to tomorrow morning at 9:00am in the morning. You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!! 9? That means I have to leave my house at 8....that has got to be the ultimate punishment for any college student.

So anyways here's my pre-spring break schedule for tomm:

8:00 am = leave for college
9:00am = take exam1
11:30am = class1
12:30am = class1 finishes
1:00pm = off to work
3:00pm = leave work
3:30pm = exam2
4:45pm = finish exam2
5:00pm = meet with classmate to discuss presentation
6:00pm = class aka presentation due with classmate
8:00pm = pray class to end
8:30pm = when class ends

now that's 12 hrs....oh yeah i don't get home until 9:30pm and then i have to eat dinner...if I'm still alive. it cant get any worse...oh btw in the schedule, those 15-30 min breaks are really me driving/walking to my next destination.

I don't know where food will factor in. whatever, its good if i shed a few pounds anyways before spring break...don't want to look too fat in the swimsuits!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh where is spring breakkkkkkkkkkk

Oh College Thy College

We've always heard from our peers our lovely college can be. Many claim the times we spend in college to be "everlasting" and many times "the best part of our life."

You then have the one group (old folks) excitedly talk about, "Which college did you go to? Princeton or Yale?". Just the thoughts of extra pressure in college give me a colder brain freeze then chugging down a icey slurpee.

Lets get down to the point. College really ISNT the best part of your life. Dorm life is really the WORST. The food is HORRIBLE. The girls are slutty and the guys are cocky. The classes are ever so boring and pointless. Ever heard of college dropouts? Gates and Brin anyone?

Anyhows lets cut the history out. This is about my life as a Senior at...well lets just call it a 'private university' in New Jersey. I'm 21 and about to graduate in the May. Like many seniors I'm excited about graduating, yet I know I will miss college. The everyday drama...the stories....well at least I have this blog to share with you guys reading this...I can get it all out.

Keep checking in to see what the college hell hole is really about.
